My question relates to the missing ability to choose how Word imports a PDF file ie. I cannot choose to have Word import it as is and not try to convert the text.
Now with Wordwhen I "Open with Word", it's trying to convert the text to editable. I'm sure there are instances where having Word convert the PDF to editable text might work great and be useful, but microsoft word 2016 pdf add in free my particular use I only want Word to import the PDF as it was scanned.
All I need to do is add a cover page to my document and save it as microsoft word 2016 pdf add in free. Since we've been updated to Word I can no longer do this because Word automatically tries to convert my scanned-to-PDF into editable text and the results are disastrous. Anyone have any solutions? If you do not specifically need the final document in docx format, and having it as a pdf will do, you could create the cover page, then "print" it using the free PrimoPDF converter, and then use PrimoPDF to print the pdf document, giving it the same file name as the one you used when printing the cover page. If you accept the option to append to the existing file, you will then have a pdf of the pdf document with your cover page on it.

This will insert the PDF first page only as objects cannot span pages just as in earlier versions, without converting the PDF. Or if the aim is a PDF, do as Doug suggests. I just tried this method. Two issues though. Cannot adjust 2 of /48067.txt pages to Landscape and leave the rest as portrait. PrimoPDF results in a very large size file.
